First hygrometer reading since brew day- these determine the specific gravity of the beer, which is like density for liquids. The change from original gravity (OG) to final gravity represents dense sugars turning into less dense alcohols.
Rang in at 1.016-1.018, so hovering around 3.8% abv. Not as low gravity as I’d like it, but in solid drinkable range. Sampled a bit of what I pulled out- not bad, a little hoppy for the style I’m going for but overall flavorful. Looking forward to bottling in a week or two.
